There’s a new cryptocurrency exchange out there, and boy it looks good and it might get big. Here’s a guide how to get started with upcoin exchange.

I would like to point out that I’m not giving you any financial advice, just introducing you to the new cryptocurrency exchange, where you can buy, sell and trade bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, digipulse, omisego, basic attention token and many other interesting coins.

Let’s get to it.

Create an Account

Before you can actually get started and trade your favorite coins, you will need an account. That’s if you still haven’t created one.

Step 1 – Create an Account at Upcoin

Sign up process is pretty straightforward, you press “Create Account” and Upcoin will ask you to add your email address and create a password, afterward you will receive a confirmation email and you’re done. You’ve yourself an Upcoin Account.

Turn on 2-factor authentication

Safety comes first. In this world, you can’t be too safe.

When you have logged into your account, press on your email and later on press Security. When you have done that it will give you the option to set up 2-factor authentication, but if you haven’t done it before, you will have to download – Google Authentication app on your mobile phone. You can find it in the app store or in the play store, depending on your devices operating system. After you have successfully downloaded Google Authentication app, you have two options. You can scan the QR code from Upcoin or you can enter the 16-digit-code manually.

Write down the key somewhere safe, in case you lose your phone or it gets stolen, so you can recover your password.

Pro Tip – before changing your phone, always think about your Google Authentication App.

Send Tokens to Upcoin Exchange

First of all, you have to have Bitcoin, Ethereum or any other coin that Upcoin exchange accepts in some other wallet or exchange. If you still haven’t bought your first bitcoins, here’s a guide on how to buy bitcoin with Coinbase.

On the top right corner press on your BTC balance, it will create a drop-down and you will be able to press “Go to wallet” button. It will show you all available wallets and coins that are allowed to be deposited.
Keep in mind, you can’t send your bitcoin to other wallets, otherwise, you will lose all of your coins. The coin must match the address. Meaning – You need to send Bitcoin to Bitcoin Wallet. You need to send Ethereum to Ethereum Wallet. You need to send Digipulse to Digipulse Wallet. I hope you get the point.

Now that you have done that you can click on the coin you want to deposit and generate a wallet address.
That’s it. Now you can transfer from other exchanges or wallets to upcoin exchange.

Upcoin Trading

Trading is pretty straightforward. Nothing unusual and nothing complicated, the interface is great and it’s easy to understand which definitely helps for beginner traders.
You pick Trade on the top left corner and pick the coins you want to start trading. Set the price that fits you and start submitting your buy and sell orders. Like I mentioned before, simple and straightforward cryptocurrency exchange platform.

Upcoin Crypto Exchange Summary Review

This is not a sponsored post – by the way. I believe the platform is great. It’s easy to use, it’s easily understandable, I personally love the interface, it’s something I can get used to it. Although I like the exchange, my concern is, will it get the trading volume up? Right now I played around for a couple of hours, submitted some orders, but the volume was…just not big enough. The trades just don’t go through. If no one is submitting sell orders your buy orders won’t go through. Pretty simple as that.

Bottom line is – I will definitely keep an eye on the upcoin exchange and check it daily, but the most important factor for me is the trading volume and if they can get it up, I will definitely switch to upcoin.
